Carl, I actually thought the reaction to the Q deal was a bit loony. I noticed the one firm that posted estimates did not raise their estimate for the next fiscal year. But so what: this whole market is loony! Why shouldn't we be a little loony? I remember qcom at 200 and recent swings (like today) in PMCS-- equally loony. I see now reason why a 120 handle won't be coming up here soon. Lower than that? Hard to say. If you do a fib retracement, you get a variety of levels, of course. Things cooled pretty well today. I almost went short, but it felt wrong.

And if, Carl, you were smart enough to do that on a small basket of tech stocks, (for example, as the semi's rounded the bottom and started back up in late 1998, or even early 1999), you'd be well over that amount.

I can't even guess the multiplier without checking the actual growth numbers on stocks like my favorites (PMCS, AMCC, TQNT, JDSU....etc! You know...the usual suspects!!)
