Tecinvestor, Thanks for that link. I see regular posts stating that JDSU is a Canadian company. It is probably due to its strong base up here as well as the predecessor corporation, JDS Fitel. That is probably why some news reports get it wrong. Technically, it is an American company and that is what matters for S and P eligibility. However, I am glad it has substantial operations up here. BTW--I believe some Canadian stocks like NT have been grandfathered into the index. I believe new entrants have to be American companies.
