drsvelte, thanks for your comment. I think you did not get the principle, or your lack of the understanding of human nature, who is part of the primate group of mammals. Read and study their behavior, then you may be able to understand what I wrote.

Nature has it's own ways and as an example we humans were against forest fires, as it happens forest fires rejuvenate the forest and all what grows and lives in the forest.

Remember we are part of nature and life on earth and not as many would like to belive above the forces of nature.

drsvelte, i believe you misunderstood Haim's post. I believe he is looking at this from a biological perspect.

Fire is a very destructive thing, but many plant species only recreate after fires, this is very true of old forest pines, some pines only spread there seeds during a fire and grow in the fertile forest ash laden floor.

From a biological perspective this is refreshment.

Bear markets are a financial refreshment, there is no need for people to tie emotionally to one direction or another, it just happens, it's the cycle of life.
