You're kidding, right? All he's ever done since he started his business while at college is sell boxes.

DELL's biggest move was to add laptops -- a smaller box -- and that only after everyone else realized they are the future. Even then, DELL botched it at first.

And I think DELL finally embraced LINUX as an option -- whoa! -- or is DELL still just considering that possibility? You can't get more in the box than that.

Futurists and prediction types are predicting the end of the box -- it'll all be wireless, handheld, and ultimately ubiquitous. Personally I find futurists irksome, but whatever their worth, DELL's big idea of direct sales of boxes doesn't seem so new anymore.
