I'm afraid that is what Bush is doing. The republicans have a lot of good people - unfortunately the party has been overrun by the far right. I voted for George Bush Senior - what he put up with thru the Reagen years was something, but don't like his son at all. In fact I thought George Bush was one of the straightest talking politicians. His son is no chip of the old block.

michael, this whole thing has helped your guy enormously. Thank McCain. Junior is now to some extent rid of "the coronation" thing and had to fight for something and not have it handed to him for the first time in his life. It should help this colt to grow up. He needed it badly. It certainly wiped that smirk off his face for a while.
