Lineman,

<<<If Robertson and Falwell support his campaign - then Bush is suspect.>>>

They supported Reagan also...so what's your point? Heck even Falwell was at the Republican National Convention.

From what I understand he's had a positive impact on the Texas school system. Which I see as a Governor's primary responsibility. But why don't you ask the people of Texas who voted overwhelmingly for him a second term?

Not that I agree with you, but education in and of itself, is not the end-all-to be-all determination when selecting a leader. After all, Bill Clinton was supposedly well educated. It didn't mean a hill of beans when it came to the attributes of leadership. George W. appears intelligent and educated on par with the Presidents of the past.

If you really want to see a wasted education, all you have to do is take a close look at Al Gore.

Michael

For some strange reason, the local spokespeople for the right are mortally afraid of a populist conservative with broad appeal. They're also quite dedicated to the idea of running against Clinton this year, which seems a bit odd in light of the 22nd amendment. More power to them, I say. My support's with W for the nomination, as well as my sympathy. McCain would be just as conservative, but more electable, and who wants that?

Cheers, Dan.

P.S. I was going to ask if you were really a lineman (my father was), but it seems a bit inconsistent with your profile.
