I don't want to get in the middle of what appears to be a personal argument, but I'd like to point out that returns alone mean nothing unless viewed in light of the risks taken. It's easy to look back on success in the market and proclaim one's brilliance for being in a new economy moonshot; what is difficult is admitting just how much of the success was due to dumb luck.

These are interesting times. Extraordinary risk-taking is being rewarded in this market, and stocks that represent solid value in the traditional sense are declining daily. Make no mistake, I'm playing the rockets along with small cap value. But I don't think we should delude ourselves by believing that the present conditions will last forever. In fact, the music could stop quite suddenly...
