Paradigm4 Selected by Wireless Knowledge to Distribute Workstyle Server Company Selected to Distribute Wireless Access To Microsoft Email, Calendar and Contacts
PR NEWSWIRE - February 29, 2000 13:11
NEW ORLEANS, Feb 29, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Paradigm4, a leading provider of wireless data services and solutions, announced today it has been selected by Wireless Knowledge LLC, a joint venture company between Microsoft Corp. and QUALCOMM Inc., to facilitate the distribution of the Wireless Knowledge Workstyle Server software to enterprise customers.

Wireless Knowledge's Workstyle Server extends collaborative computing applications including email, calendar and contacts to the wireless environment. It provides professionals with secure access to their critical information while away from the desktop without the need to manage multiple accounts and without having to synchronize their Internet-ready wireless device with their corporate system.

Announced at the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association's (CTIA) Wireless 2000 trade show, the two companies said they have agreed to terms that call for substantial joint marketing of Wireless Knowledge's new Workstyle Server. The agreement names Paradigm4 as a third-party installer and integrator of the Workstyle Server. Paradigm4 will play this role exclusively for the first six months following the commercial introduction of the Workstyle Server.

In addition, Paradigm4 will be the exclusive reseller of the Workstyle Server to the government sector in North America and a non-exclusive reseller in all other North American markets. As part of the agreement, Paradigm4 has agreed to pre-purchase Subscriber Access Licenses (SALS) over a 42-month period.

"The ability to retrieve key information at anytime from any location has already begun to create revolutionary new efficiencies for businesses and organizations," said Bruce Boisture, co-chairman and CEO of Paradigm4. "But until now, the major challenge in the marketplace has been to find a way wirelessly and seamlessly to enable workers' most common and important information their email, calendar and contacts. The Workstyle Server solves that challenge, and together Paradigm4 and Wireless Knowledge will deliver this important capability to millions of Microsoft Exchange users across the country," concluded Boisture.

"The Wireless Knowledge/Paradigm4 relationship creates a powerful new alliance in the wireless data industry," said Eric Schultz, chairman and CEO of Wireless Knowledge. "Our mission is to enable the tens of millions of Microsoft Exchange users to access their data from virtually any wireless device, anywhere they conduct business.
