There is no such a no-short-in-30-day period. Even it exists, who will be shorting a highly demanded stock like PALM with only 23 million floating. Many guys don't think PALM may rocket to as high as $300. But I think it is very possible that PALM is going to be squeezed to that level. Just do your math: availble shares/buyers. Let's assume 1 million investors want to hold PALM. The answer is the average shares for each investor will be only 23 shares.
