Compaq Appoints Jeffrey M. Lynn Vice President and General Manager Of Professional Services

Lynn will oversee Compaq's 10,000-person worldwide systems integration and outsourcing services business. Lynn joins Compaq from IBM Global Services, where he was Vice President of Global Finance Industry Consulting. Before IBM, Lynn was a partner in the Consulting Division at Ernst & Young. He has also served as Vice President in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs and Vice President at Citibank.

Lynn holds a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also received his Bachelor of Computer Science degree from MIT.

What are CPQ's key accomplishments, expectations for this quarter? Compared that w/ historical performance. This will help all of us better guide, how CPQ will do end of Q1.

CF0 position: Good decision made.
Restructuring: No guidance from CPQ yet.
iPAQ: Good reviews.

ESSG business: Storage business good. New Telcos-LOB unit

I hope this will allow everyone to get a consistent view of what CPQ is doing this quarter against the expectations. At the end, we hope to confirm our views when CPQ announces the earnings at the end of April (about 5-6 weeks from now).
