Computer Associates Makes Strategic Investment in InfoCast

Partnership to Unite Leading Providers of eBusiness Infrastructure Solutions And Online Application Service, Includes Plans for CA Services Enterprise Delivery Center in Calgary

TORONTO, and ISLANDIA, N.Y., March 23 /CNW/ -- InfoCast Corporation(OTC Bulletin Board: IFCC), an e-Enabling Application Service Provider (ASP),and Computer Associates International Inc. (NYSE: CA), (CA) Services today
announced a strategic alliance designed to combine CA's robust eBusiness infrastructure solutions and Enterprise Delivery Center (EDC) capabilities with InfoCast's secure, reliable, and effective ASP services and technology.
As a result of this initiative, organizations around the world can cost-effectively leverage some of the most advanced eBusiness solutions available today.
CA will build an EDC, an advanced application development facility in Calgary, Alberta in conjunction with InfoCast's western division. Together, the two companies are committed to driving eBusiness software development and
web-enabled application services, and providing mutual customers with end-to-end eBusiness solutions.
"This alliance with Computer Associates means InfoCast can deliver better and faster return on investment for our customers," says Jim Leech, president and CEO of InfoCast. "It will also accelerate InfoCast's deal-flow as an ASP
as we move from our development stage into full, revenue-generating production. And we're confident InfoCast's unique e-Enabling solutions will attract new business to the EDC as well."
InfoCast uses ASP technology to discover, develop and deliver Internet based business solutions for both emerging "dot.com" companies and established enterprises moving to the Internet. The foundation of the company's offering
is a networked infrastructure of Sun Microsystems servers called i-Hubs. InfoCast's proprietary offerings include custom-branded Web portals, virtual call center systems, a complete e-Learning environment, and a teleworking
solution.
"The combination of CA's intelligent eBusiness infrastructure solutions with InfoCast's excellent application service capabilities and knowledge of
Internet technology brings unique value not only to Calgary, but to the global IT marketplace," said Chris Wagner, executive vice president and general manager of CA Services. "We share InfoCast's vision of the new economy, and
look forward to jointly developing leading-edge remote access technology and web-based business applications."
The Calgary EDC will be the twelfth and most recent addition to CA Service's global installation of EDC facilities. Other EDCs are located in the US, Australia, and Germany, along with EDC capabilities in India via a CA
alliance. Equipped with cutting-edge hardware and software, EDCs can readily model even the most complex, large-scale projects, helping ensure that development, integration and installation requirements are fulfilled to the
specific client requirements. Each EDC features a demonstration/joint application development room, where consultants and clients work together to create a blueprint based on a client's specifications. The final blueprint is
refined via a prototype system, which allows clients to test prototype functionality before giving final approval to any proposed design and implementation into their production environment.
"The Calgary EDC will focus on the development of eBusiness solutions in support of InfoCast's business vision. This is a major event for CA Services
in Canada as it reconfirms our presence as a significant eBusiness development and deployment services provider in the Canadian market," said Jeffrey Campbell, CA Services Canadian vice president.
By using the EDC, clients receive a fully tested, ready-for-operation solution. Additional features of the EDCs include their access to the high-speed EDC-NET network, which links each facility and allows systems to share CA technology, consulting resources, and best practices from around the world to assist in critical client projects.
Along with the deployment capabilities featured in the Calgary EDC,InfoCast plans to fortify the reliability and manageability of their ASP offerings using Unicenter TNG, CA's award-winning enterprise management toolset. InfoCast will also employ Neugents technology and Jasmine ii, the
premiere platform for creating, testing, and deploying intelligent eBusiness applications using a robust and technically rich infrastructure.

Hi Buckey;
Appears that Infocast is advancing its work with the US National Enviornmental Policy Institute contract.

InfoCast to Host Facet's Cause&Effect Decision Management Software; Web-Based Solution Will Be Used in Pollution-Reduction Initiative

TORONTO, April 26 /CNW/ -- InfoCast Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: IFCC), an e-enabling application service provider (ASP), today announced that it will add Facet Decision Systems' Cause&Effect(TM) decision management software to its roster of hosted offerings. This
innovative, Web-based solution helps managers make strategic decisions by turning data into knowledge.
"Cause&Effect's decision management capabilities will be a key component for our e-enabling suite of hosted applications," says Jim Leech, InfoCast's president and CEO. "By providing data assembly analysis, workflow,
visualization, and interaction over the Web, Cause&Effect will allow our clients to quickly analyse and understand their data. The ability to make complex decisions rapidly is a crucial competitive advantage in e-commerce."
Cause&Effect will be immediately put to use in conjunction with Teletrips.com. Teletrips.com is an online application, hosted by InfoCast, used to track the amount of automobile emissions reduced by an individual who
works from home.
The US National Environmental Policy Institute (NEPI) in conjunction with the National Telecommuting Air Quality Act (NTAQA), is using Teletrips.com in five densely populated United States cities (Washington DC, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston and Los Angeles) to track the amount of traffic
pollution reduced by organizations that implement work-at-home programs.
Cause&Effect will be used to integrate the Teletrips.com data with geographical, municipal, and watershed data to create a clear picture of traffic patterns and how these impact city infrastructures and the environment. This information will help city planners make informed decisions
about future transportation issues, and turn urban sprawl into "smart growth."
"As Cause&Effect is a processor-intensive application, InfoCast's Sun server-based ASP platform is the ideal hosting environment for it," says David Hawkins, President of Facet Decision Systems. "The hosted solution makes
Cause&Effect cost-effective, allowing clients to access it on a pay-per-use pricing structure. InfoCast and Facet will work together to deliver this application to a broader market, thus enabling corporations to transform data
into knowledge and become smarter companies."
