Caussa Capital Corporation Diamond Plant Commissioned; New President Appointed.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Caussa Capital Corporation is pleased to announce that the company is in the process of commissioning a new diamond recovery plant which has been delivered to its wholly -owned Witkrans diamond property in South Africa. Mining is underway and a stockpile of gravels is ready for processing.

Following the successful completion of a 74 hole percussion drill program Caussa has initiated a trial mining program on the Witkrans diamond property, situated 120 kilometres west of Johannesburg in the alluvial diamond producing Ventersdorp district. The new diamond recovery plant will be undertaking the trial mining of a 50,000 tonne bulk sample to determine diamond grade and quality for the Witkrans deposit. The trial mining program is expected to be completed within a two to three month period. The cost of the trial mining program is expected to be recovered from revenues generated from diamonds recovered during the trial mining period. Results will be announced as they become available.

Caussa's earlier drill program determined that the Witkrans deposit lies within a linear bedrock depression that extends over a length of 1.1 kilometres. The gravel horizon reaches thicknesses of up to 18 metres and widths of up to 150 metres. The Witkrans property encompasses 3,856 hectares and covers the northwestern extension of the Vetpan- Hartebeeslaagte alluvial diamond deposit, which has reportedly produced over 31,000 carats of diamond to date. While this deposit has been mined extensively on the neighbouring Vetpan and Hartebeeslaagte properties immediately to the east, little to no production has been undertaken on Witkrans.

Diamonds recovered from alluvial gravels in the Ventersdorp district are renowned for their high aesthetic quality, large average stone size and high sales value normally in excess of U.S.$400 per carat.

Caussa is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kenneth Johnson to the position of President. Mr. Johnson has been a director of Caussa since June, 1999. A graduate geologist with over 18 years of international experience in the mining and exploration industries, Mr. Johnson possesses extensive knowledge of the exploration for and recovery of diamonds. He is noted for the discovery and development of a diamond deposit in Central Africa. Mr. Johnson will be responsible for strategic planning, management and operations in relation to Caussa Capital's resource interests. While consulting to Caussa, Mr. Johnson was responsible for the acquisition and exploration of the Witkrans diamond property, as well as the construction and commissioning of the diamond recovery plant. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree, is a Director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining.

In addition to its interests in the Witkrans property, the yet unexplored K2 diamond property and Barberton Gold, Caussa continues to examine and evaluate other opportunities in the resource and non-resource areas, particularly in the technology sector.
