While what he had to say may be very sad ..

Does it make less true?

Consider the perception of the value of life to school children today .. it all seems like one vast video game.

Can you think of a constructive method to change that perception?

A very hard market crash and recession would be much better that a war. Hopefully that will be the method.

OT. My appologies to the tread.

Ed, you have your right to your oppinion, I live in NYC and actually my telephone number is on the WWW.

The answer was an hypotetical one so may be I sound like a professor.

As to loss of life I lost friends in wars, other friends were crippled in war, I lost a wife to cancer and now my parents.

So if speaking of loss better.......

As to arrogance IMHO the present US policy is the one overly arrogant.

They started a war in Kosovo to get rid of old ordonance not to find a solution to the area.

Iraq was left as an unfinished business and the US let many thousand of people killed by inspiring misguided hope to revolt agains Saddam......and the list goes on.

Further remmember we as individual people are irrelevant in the big scheme of things.

Who cares about my losses?.. well nobody... it is to painful to hear, they change the subject.

Yes it is very painful wen it hits you but who cared about those killed in Grozny??? Did the world came to a halt?, how about the massacres in Central Africa, they are not also living people or humans? Who cares about those in Congo??...... and the list goes on.
