Flatsville- The short term indicators at the HI/LO index which is basically just the # of new highs vs new lows in graphic or PnF form. Another is the % of stocks above/below their 10wk moving average, again in graphic form. When they reverse into a column of O's it is a warning sign. When they move below a previous low it is a true sell signal. The TRUE indicator however is the NYSE BP or the percent of NYSE stocks that are on PnF buy signals. This is considered the "coach" in that it tells you when to play offense and when to play defense. Again it is a graphical depiction of that ratio and gives warnings as well as true sell signals. The signals mean slightly different things depending on whether they occur at overbought or oversold conditions. Hope that helps. Fog more/better info try Dorseywright.com and get a free trial.
