US energy secretary confident OPEC will hike output
WASHINGTON, March 1 (Reuters) - U.S. Energy Secretary Bill Richardson said Wednesday that based on information he presented to key OPEC members, the cartel would conclude at its meeting later this month to quickly adopt a large increase in oil output.

``We believe this analysis will lead to only one conclusion as the ministers meet on March 27 -- there should be substantial and timely increases in production,' Richardson said in a statement to be presented to the House International Relations committee during a hearing on U.S. policy toward OPEC.
