The new GTE system runs on a Sun UE 10000 platform and will handle more than 80,000 daily service orders and provide instant provisioning, automated assignment and activation while the customer is online. GTE anticipates increased customer satisfaction and retention and a quick migration path to new network technologies, products and services.
