We're backing off pretty quickly here, but it's only to be expected. At this rate, we'll hit my 150 target in just a few weeks not just a few months. I probably don't have to tell this to anyone on this board, but some pretty steep declines will accompany these steep rises. Vertigo here we come.

The new CFO comes with impressive credentials:
<<A resident of San Jose, Calderoni held several high level financial and management positions during his 20 years at IBM.
Most recently he was controller of IBM's storage systems division, a multi-billion dollar international storage products
division. His earlier positions included controller of IBM's server group, director of finance and planning in the system 390
division and site controller in the large scale computing division.>>

IBM's 390 and storage systems groups were focusses for them, and have shown some good growth. He appears to be a good choice for the "next" step for Sandisk.

We should also take a minute to thank Cindy for her past efforts as well. She has been at the company through some nitty gritty times, when things didn't always look as rosy as they do now.

From EH:
<<``Frank is taking over a solid finance and administration team and a superb balance sheet, the legacy of Cindy Burgdorf's
leadership. Over these past six years, Cindy has guided SanDisk through our IPO and two subsequent secondary
financings. She has graciously and patiently postponed her retirement until Frank came on board. We will miss her and wish her all the best.' >>

Good luck, Cindy, from all of us on the Sandisk thread,
Sam

Joe and Art,

Joe, I'm afraid I must take responsibility for predicting 100 before the end of the year. Appears as though I was a tad conservative.

Art, could I impose on your expertise to give me a short course on when companies split their stocks? I assume that the principal reason for splitting a stock is to allow more investors to buy in, as it's hard to buy a stock selling at three or four hundred dollars a share.

But some companies allow their shares to reach such dizzying heights, while others seem to split repeatedly after they reach a certain number. Do you think it likely that SanDisk will split again when it passes 100? Thanks for any guidance.

Jim
