That is not what I said. I just mentioned that it was on low volume. There could be many valid reasons for this to happen, aside from market manipulation and deceit on behalf of people you are supposed to be able to trust.

Stop losses have preserved capital more often than not. So I wouldn't advise people to not use them. In my opinion, the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. I know that is cold comfort. That said, and along the lines of your personal story, I witnessed another Market Maker mugging yesterday on the NASD OTC that was as blatant as they come. It is reprehensible that these things happen, but unfortunately it is the bad part of a great game.
