Buchanan says Bush unfairly smeared:

The former Republican presidential candidate said Bush has been unfairly criticized for his appearance at Bob Jones University, a South Carolina school accused of religious bigotry. Speaking to students does not mean a person accepts the school's theological beliefs, he said.

"How do I know that? Because I've spoken twice from the same podium at Bob Jones University," said Buchanan, a conservative commentator. "I'm a traditional Catholic, and I was received with friendship, graciousness and respect on both occasions."
