Remarks noted.

I still think that engineers should push from within to get things to happen. What have you got to lose?

Your job? Give me a break. Anybody that has engineering smarts and can't get to first base with the company he/she works, anybody that can get a job at Novell in the first place, isn't going to have any problem getting offers elsewhere.

They pay engineers quite a bit of money these days. You give your management the benefit of the doubt. If you can't get them to listen, you go elsewhere.

NUmbers rule this game. If enough people within Novell press for an internet perspective, those that haven't got that perspective will find themselves learning fast!
I don't believe that people in the ranks within Novell have zero power in influencing decisions and in building good products.
