That's incorrect. In fact, Compaq helped Intel develop their 8-way Profusion chipset. What Compaq didn't use is
Intel's Sabre motherboard. Instead, they had their own motherboard, and it helped Compaq to be the first to
market with 8-way Profusion-based servers. It also helped Compaq when the Sabre motherboard initially had
problems, since competing OEMs had to wait for their Profusion-based systems.
