Acquisition of ABL looks like smart move- It looks like PAIR got a lot for $10M in this deal if it plugs the product hole as explained in the press release. Does anyone know if ADCT approved of this or is there any overlap with ADCT areas?

Interesting article about ABL buyout, however I am confused. The article states, "ABL's AccessExpress optical fiber solutions will allow PairGain's leading HiGain(R)family of HDSL and HDSL2 products to directly connect to SONET networks. Doesn't HDSL(2) products provide connectivity to SONET networks now, such as NEC/LU or Fujitsu? What makes this companys product different? Isn't PAIR's HSDL products compatable with SONET industry standards? Help me see the light. g.
