Bruce, I understand one of the reasons for mergers this year is that the accounting rules are changing. I understand that acquiring firms beginning next year will not be able to use "pooling of interests" in combining with other companies and will instead be forced to deduct goodwill over twenty years. If that is the case, I sense there will be an accelerated M&A activity this year, with many firms like SPYG getting bought out or perhaps purchasing other firms. Have you heard any news on this accounting front? I realize we often tie ourselves to technology or herd psychology, but these tax issues can really put some fire under corporate decision-making.

All my best,

Osman.

Bruce, remember that not too long ago some analyst thought the stock had gone up too fast and reduced his rating to a sell! Just shows that a little patience pays off when the fundamentals are strong.
