Thanks, John, yes it does give quotes of a sort. I don't see what to click to get the 5-min intraday chart, but haven't snooped around the go2net quote site much lately. Only ever used the real SI charts for their comparative charts, which were superb.

I shouldn't have used the loss of the Yahoo button as an example because it's really not a big thing. What i use quote.yahoo for mostly is its overview of the world in that fast-loading highly legible form, not for quotes. Anyone playing Canadian beyond infrequent dabbling has a stockwatch subscription, and imho there is not much point for go2net to try to compete with them, for the near term at least, although with the tse and cdnx getting quite hot lately it may be under consideration.

The correct display of ascii character sets would seem more important, fundamental even - Subject 28756
... as would legibility, loading speed, the loss of archived threads, the loss of browsemaster, the forced cookies, etc etc.

I have opined upthread on the competency of go2net management. Fyi, that did not include the grunts in the trenches ... i'm not clear on the details of the chain of command, but rather suspect it is harder for you than for we who have lost only our website ... so cheers and good luck
