Bauer's rebuke is more bad news for a McCain campaign...

Actually it is good news. Very good news. This only makes McCain's fiscal conservatism message a lot more sharper. People no longer have to suffer the discomfiture of seeing little Gary in McCain's camp and wondering what that midget is doing there.

It demonstrates Bauer's integrity. He's guided by principle, not deals in smoke-filled rooms. He evidently now thinks he misjudged McCain and is man enough to admit it. He's certainly politically clumsy, even hapless, I wouldn't give him an award for political savvyness, but I admire his sincerity. Who do you admire, Robertson and Falwell and their ilk? What do you give them awards for? The hypocrisy of the Religious Right is nauseating.
