TV and alike, why don't you go back to your board? Why are more intelebees spamming this board lately? Is this a contrarian indicator or what? I gained more than 500% off AMD last year. I expect to gain more this year. And I am still 90% in AMD. I am just fine. Now go back to where you belong.

Tony,

Re:"one trick pony"

Clearly AMD can not have an Intel like PE based on 1 quarter.

The analysts - a majority of them expect Intel to kick AMD down in Q1 2000. They figured that AMD having the lead was an aberration.

So far it isn't happening and this quarter AMD will EARN MORE PER SHARE THAN INTEL.

Once the shock of that has worn off in April some people will change attitudes.

In Q2 if AMD really deliver 1GHZ ATHLONS with integrated cache as promised from DRESDEN then the stock will rocket.

By mid Q3 ASHOK will be touting AMD and telling everyone how Intel shot selves:

1. In the foot will Rambus.
2. In the other foot with Cumine vapor speed ramp.
3. In the head with Willy and its Dual Rambus and lousy FPU.

If AMD really delivers lots of low cost high MHZ high performance processors then the analysts will hop on the bandwagon. And help drive the price to an astronomic level.

Of course Intel could deliver those 1M 800Mhz cumines that went to assemby 3 weeks ago and blow that pipe-dream away.

regards,

Kash

But will it come? Could it be AMD is looked upon as a one trick pony whose main competitor can rough you up pretty good?

Tony, I don't know....the Atlon is some trick. It helped give AMD a 45% sequential increase in revenues and a profitable quarter.

Intel would be lucky to have a similar trick up its sleeve.
