Radiant Soars 50% on Microsoft Investment: After-Hours Trading

New York, March 1 (Bloomberg) -- Radiant Systems Inc. soared
in extended trading, after Microsoft Corp. said it's taking a
stake in the company to develop a system that helps retailers
conduct business online.

Radiant Systems jumped 27 3/4, or 50 percent, to 83. The
company, which makes computer systems for restaurants and movie
theaters, gained 4 1/8 to 55 1/4 in regular trading.

Microsoft, the world's largest software company, said it will
work with Radiant to offer joint marketing programs, consulting,
and funding to develop products. Before the evening gain, Radiant
was up 449 percent in the past year.

Microsoft rose 1/2 to 91 5/16 in extended trading, after
gaining 1 7/16 to 90 13/16 in regular trading.
