<<I have a dog who is 10 years old, and they say 14 years is about as long as dogs live. Since she turned 10 I have thought off and on more frequently about losing her, and her special companionship.
I know how you must feel. I offer my consolation to you in your time of grief.

Jeff...pretty odd. Skittles was almost 15 when he died this past weekend. When he turned 9 or 10, it really hit me that animals get old and will eventually die. I have thought about this day for 4 years now, but nothing can prepare you for this type of loss. Now, my dog is 10. I would love to see her make 14.

Thanks for your thoughts and thanks to everybody else that responded as well
