Elmer - RE: "I wish you guys could get over this. 800MHz systems are now readily available but it seems you guys are going to cling to the past for all it's worth."

I was talking about HP PIII 800 availability in retail, not anything else.

<I wish you guys could get over this. 800MHz systems are now readily available but it seems you guys are going to cling to the past for all it's worth. Even Dell has dropped the statement about a 30 day delay in 800MHz system delivery. Stevie will point you to an old webpage that still has that warning but he won't tell you that that page is old and the new one dropped that statement.>

Hmm. I see 5 entries of PeeIII-800 to 49 entries of Athlon 800 on Price Watch. Do I hear a violin playing in the background while your nose is getting longer and longer?

EP,

You are so choked with bias, and your own particular and peculiar form of denial, that you can't see the absolute stupidty of this latest Intel trick, and all the potential profits both companies will lose because of it.

Stupid is as stupid does! And it was less than a year ago when Intel had a great reputation.....how things have changed.

Elmer,

anybody who thinks 1GHz is anywhere near the top for CuMine is going to be just as wrong as Scumbria continues to be.

Not true, I'm quite certain that by tweaking the manufacturing parameters that Intel can make a couple of 1.1 GHz parts to match their 1.0 GHz pair.

I'll be looking forward to seeing some 1GHz systems in Fry's this weekend.

Elmer,

Volume production and sales of 1-GHz Pentium III systems is expected by the third quarter, according to Howard High, an Intel spokesman

Brilliant.

Wrong!

commerce.us.dell.com

It is a current webpage which you can access from their small business menus.

I still haven't been able to get you an autographed picture of Jerry yet.

Your fantasies are not even entertaining anymore.............

Try to get "Athwipe" pauL to write you some more material.
Or at least bring it up at your next Inhel alumni PR meeting.

What a maroon.
