Calling Party Prepays, NN?

re: GEMS, i thought they switched their ticker to COAL ... ? as a friend is wont to say, i wouldn't touch that stock with a ten-foot Pole! or an 11-foot Armenian!

wall street sure loves a 10% housecleaning off the top.

now Corsair, that looked kinda interesting until i pulled up a YTD (read: two-month) chart. $7 to $30?!? that's off the hook, Boiler Room boy!

(did you catch Law & Order last night?)

ok, so i know these aren't exactly reccos, but gimme your lowdown on PrePay (and PhoneFuel while you're at it). i'm not dense enough to miss CAIR's mistersofty-like gross margins in the latest quarter: 96.3% from 92.3% in software which expanded overall GMs to 68% from 62%. and that's with legacy hardware GMs sliding a hefty 800 basis points (44.7% to 36.7%).

Yahoo! tells me that YoY revenue comparison isn't what it seems either. FY99 at $66.2M versus $65.2M in FY98, yet the latter figure include sales from some legacy division they sold off. backing out this figure puts FY98 sales at $53M for 25% YoY growth.

granted, no Phone.com, but respectable. you got a FY00 revenue estimate?
