Your simple math is too simple. The 110 you used is effectively for 1 share of COMS and 1.5 shares of PALM. The distribution is well known and already discounted in the price of COMS, to some extent. COMS alone is not and would not be selling for $110!
You have to add 1.5XPALM to what COMS would go for if it didn't include PALM (a subject of much debate on this thread). I think even the most raging bull on this thread, however, would not try to argue that COMS without PALM would be trading at $110.
Your simple math amounts to 1 share COMS + 1.5 shares PALM + ANOTHER 1.5 shares of PALM. You've got the 1.5 share PALM distribution in there twice.
