Who's to say that DT would not also attempt to buy GBLX? With a couple of bells (well, nearly "Bells") under their arm, how they would wish to own the fibre connector too! I am not aware of BT ever having come close to Global, but AT&T on the other hand just might, though their attempt to buy might be a little more hostile. Very interesting times ahead for Global this year and in my opinion a year that WILL see them taken over.

Please note that this is not an attempt to start some inane diatribe on takeover talk; it's way too early for that!

Malcolm Sutherland.

*If DT is making an offer to acquire Q and USW (which I think will turn into a regulatory nightmare), then who is left to potentially acquire GBLX?*

No one, hopefully.

Seriously, my worst nightmare would be that of GBLX being taken over. We are sitting on a bank ? they will start to print money for us en masse next year.
