Merced - FUnctional on first silicon - in WIDE SAMPLING.

Are you talking samples again? It sounds like When Hall was talking about the tape outs of Cayenne.

Willamette -- Functional on FIRST SILICON - runs at 1.5 GHz

You mean no samples yet?

600 MHz Integrated CPU - TIMNA - demoed at IDF !

Again no samples? How do you launch a product in fall without delivering any samples fo the box makers?

600/650 MHz SpeedStep Mobile Coppermines in FULL PRODUCTION.

Ok, they got one right.

1 GHz Coppermines = Delivered to IBM, Dell and HP - and demoed at IDF

Were these samples?

Intel's Fab 12 ships 1 MILLION Coppermines in one week

I guess someone at the shipping dock (Elmer) must be writing wrong addresses on these boxes full of Coppermines. The addressees are not receiving anything.

Did I mention that Intel hit its NINETEENTH (19'th) ALL TIME HIGH today?

How many more do you expect if Intel continues with these failures? This 1 GHz announcement reminds me of the goldmining company that kept telling investors about all these deposits of gold they found that were ultimately proven wrong.

Is Intel misleading it's investors? I wonder if this is the beginning of the mother of all investor lawsuits.

I think Intel should insist that CNET adds a legal disclaimer at the bottom of that article:

Paul,

Re: "--> 600/650 MHz SpeedStep Mobile Coppermines in FULL PRODUCTION."

This is a very "big area" that AMD has really missed out on ... I
now have a portable with a docking station as my main PC. Many others
in large corporations are also headed to this configuration. Not good
news for AMD, IMHO.

Make It So,

PE,

"Don't you see the similarities?"

The only similarities I see is that Intel is the equivalent of an aging rock star trying to keep up:

"AMD is set to deliver a "one-two-three" punch to Intel "imminently" with the simultaneous release of its 900MHz, 950MHz and 1GHz Athlon processors, ZDNet UK has learned."

What Intel needs is a shot of Viagra! And its new motto needs to be "stupid is as stupid does".
