Thank you for the information, My daughter who has MS has had a horrifying time with Home Health Care Agencies She had a Personal caregiver plus TWO Nurses and ONE Wound Care Specialist attending her. She had wounds from wheelchair scratches on her ankles that went into the bone and an angle Leg break???? This happened in her home. The Agency was paid
about $3,000 each month for the NURSING care. I caught the Wound Care Specialist, dressed like a Surgeon?? bandaging a wound on her toe when her feet were so dirty I had to soak them and brush the dead skin off. This sounds horrible but everyone needs to know what is happening to the Disabled and the Helpless Elderly..Tomorrow it could be any one of us. I am in hand to hand combat with the local Agencies who have to address this problem. These damn Agencies refuse to pay their personal caregivers enough to get competent employees. They can make more as a Waitress..I am on my way to the Governor who is the head of this Program to address this issue..
