What on earth are you talking about? It's a free market. People have a right to sell Gold when the fundamentals are unattractive. In a raging tech bull market where the dollar is strong, why should anyone buy gold instead of a tech stock?

My view is that people cry manipulation because they don't understand that the selling is legitimate given the economic and currency back drop.

Gold will rise when the fundamentals change. Gold is primarily a currency hedge against a falling dollar. The commodity argument won't keep gold above $300. Gold is not oil.
