Did anyone notice that CFO Muller stated that they would continue making acquisitions in the future. In the past I have also heard that they basically done with the deals and may be making only minor ones in the future. Afterwards they bought out ETEK, which was a huge surprise to most!
I think once they get their ETEK approval, they will be going hunting again. They are probably setting their sights on certain targets right about now.

I just wonder if they will be buying capacity or technology. I got a feeling any potential technology threats will be taken out by Kevin and the boys.
JDSU will be willing to pay nice premiums for these deals and that is going to make their offers more attractive to the potential takeover targets. Stock as currency is the game in this sector just as it was in the internet deals a couple of years back. If you got the currency use it to the max and JDSU will.

That is why Lucent/NT/Cisco are going to have a hard time buying innovative technology. JDSU will the one getting the number 1 draft picks. They can afford to pay hefty premiums.
