No I am not buying PALM at the IPO... and if you want to you can't do it with a market order... you have to place a limit. Here's what I do when I do these things.

Place one lot at or near the IPO price - you may get lucky

Place one at the low end of the range where you think it'll open

Place one at the upper most range of what you think it's worth.

Keep in mind that they may all execute so remember - you don't want to place more than you want to hold.

Once the security opens you can then decide which order you want to close and if you want to adjust your orders.

I'm holding too much COMS already - I don't need to buy PALM too.
