Like a morgue around here...
Did half the people short QQQ or something?

For the "Pedal to the metal crowd", it has been a profitable three months. Makes me wonder if we are playing the James Dean movie game where they drive their cars towards the cliff to see how gets off last.... or are we investing in technology for a new age and Agilent, COHU, AMAT, HWP, LRCX, MSFT, Intel etc. are STILL better VALUE STOCKS than KO, G, BRKa, etc?

I know where my money is invested.

I would not be chasing technology now as all the mutual fund investors are pouring cash in there. History shows them to be lemmings, but no problem riding the wave higher on technology. This is a great time to look for bargains elsewhere... except for MSFT that was recently on sale. THAT is rare. Warren even bought some! Anyone remember the last time MSFT was more than 20% off its peak? Anyone buy any?

PS We just finished placing all our warrants for another year of cash to run the site. I hear most of the long term holders didn't even want to sell to lock in a quick gain either. Over 900 topics now and ahead of schedule on marketing plan. Exciting times.

It HWP (now Agilent) it took us over 10 yrs to turn long wavelength fiber optics into a profitable business. Looks like we might do it much sooner with the internet.

Exciting times...

The appearance of these comic strips shows that (a) almost everybody is in the market, and (b) everybody that is in, is so sure of making money in the market that they don't mind anybody making fun of it.

In the past, these have characterized market tops. Doesn't matter how many more comic strips have to jump on to the stage before it comes crashing down. One can never call the precise top of the market anyway, other than by sheer luck.

Wally,

It is nice to be back. I haven't been able to link to SI for over a week. I had to talk to them and fix it.

What a boring week. The NAZ was only up 7%. Ha! When will the party end? There are some damn good companies selling for reasonable prices but no one cares. I am holding some of them even though I raised cash. Many have corrected 40%+ off of their highs. Solid with great earnings.

I just wonder if they will get pummelled more if the NAZ corrects. Either way in 12 to 18 months I think they will be OK.

I have raised cash according to da Brink. Every day I polish my 2 new buy buttons. I can't wait to use them.

So anyone for NAZ 6000 next week? HA!!!

Is there such thing as the Greater Fool's Greater Fool Greater Fool theory?

How about that NAZ Top 20 with earnings 190 P/E? What a joke. There are some great companies there but wow have they been bid up.

FWIW.
