"I'll also label him a manipulative, self-serving, piss-poor
excuse for a CEO. El"

But, how do you really feel? Seriously, I don't blame any of us for wanting to scream. The lost opportunity cost of this stock alone, is enough to make a grown man cry, and just a couple of weeks ago I was whining with the best of them. I can't honestly put my finger on it, but I find I do believe the guy can do it. I guess I don't really care how, as long as this company finally joins the rally.

Dear El: Your posts seem to indicate you are losing your patience here. I remember in the good ole days you would just say, "I hate CPQ" now you are getting personal. My opinion of Capellas at this time is that he is a very good operations guy. Whether or not he has the pizazz, and vision to lead a company like CPQ remains to be seen. I think that we all agree his "public" performance at last CC was not good. But, everyone deserves a "breakin" period. Lets see how he does on next go around before we stone him to death. JDN

El:

I respectfully disagree w/ your comments re: MC. The guy is honest and w/ integrity. He's done a real good job, compared to couple of "E" fools we had last year.

I have been vocal about what CPQ do differently to improve PR, give better guidance to market. MC needs the CFO and marketing guy that he's looking for to improve that.

Meanwhile, he's focused on energizing the company, customers and the industry w/ his message. He did better job recently at CTIA, discussing importance of CPQ in wireless data market.

It is disturbing to see that investors are not fully realizing the value of his message. Investors/WS understands: '.com' or 'e-something' or 'exceeding whisper #'s".

MC is creating opportunities to hopefully to meet or exceed
whisper numbers on the earnings day.

I don't blame current CPQ stock price on MC.

Since MC's arrival, we have moved the stock from high-10's,
low-20's to now mid-20's. Is that good enough?? No.
Is company turning around? I'd say 'heck-ya'!!!
