...TA is a tool I am in agreement. I guess what my understanding is, is that sometimes the stock or index moves the way you want and sometimes it doesn't. But as long as you have more wins than losses or gain more on your winners than you lose on your losers, you come out ahead. So my take on TA is that it allows you to manage risk or make trades with higher probablility and thus yield a net gain over many trades. However, I believe some strategies are more successful when the markets are less volatile. Of course I don't claim to be an expert.
