TXMC -TIREX TIRE RECYCLING TECHNOLOGY READY FOR COMMERCIALIZATION

MONTREAL, March 2 /CNW-PRN/ - Tirex announced today that their cryogenic
tire recycling system (TCS-1) has tested successfully and is now ready for
commercialization. Chief Engineer and inventor, Mr. Louis Muro, stated ``The
heart of the TCS-1 has run continuously for the past 48 hours for the first
time processing tires to our satisfaction'. ``We believe', said President /
CEO John Threshie, ``that the commercial production of the TCS-1 system is now
a reality and the Company intends to move aggressively to market worldwide our
unique recycling technologies through TCS-1 sales and / or leases and exploit
the crumb rubber industry.'
The TCS-1 system freezes scrap tire pieces through a proprietary
thermo-dynamic freezing chamber using compressed / expanded air. The frozen
tire pieces are then processed through Tirex's patented fracturing mill
separating the rubber from the steel and fiber in order to produce clean,
uncontaminated crumb rubber with no waste, and low operating costs.
The TCS-1 testing just completed demonstrates the technical feasibility
of this proprietary recycling process. Tirex will continue, however, to test
the operations and output as adjustments to improve efficiencies are ongoing.
Industry demonstrations to potential customers are planned for April.
``Further to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with The
Shandong Hongli Group of China', Mr. Threshie went on to say, ``it has been
reported that the government funds have been granted for this project and they
will return to Montreal for a final demonstration and to complete negotiations
for the sale of the TCS-1 system and license agreement'.
