My memory of his comments may not be perfect, but here goes.

EB said the normal things about this spinoff allowing both companies to focus ... yada yada.

More importantly (and IMHO one of the reasons for the larger than expected pullback) he said that it was premature to discuss the formula for the distribution and that the distribution was subject to BOD approval (mumbled something about it having to be in the strategic best interest) and favorable tax treatment. Went on to say should have letter regarding tax treatment within couple of weeks.

EB has no personality on screen and just instills a complete lack of trust IMO.

I thought Carl (CEO of PALM) handled the earlier interview much better. He responded that he saw no problems with the tax letter and anticipated nothing to get in the way of the distribution.
