The debt laden companies actually have an advantage in this high priced commodity environment. They have a lot of debt, but that debt buys a lot of production. Does the 5-15% interest payable on the debt cancel out the near record prices they are receiving. Some of these debt laden companies are pulling in bushels of cash profits every day that their debt free peers are not.

IMO what really matters are the hedges, not the debt.
