Speculate...

We can speculate all day about the discrepancy ...

Ok, i'll take the microphone..

#1 The market may be disappointed with the PALM performance. There were some outlandish expectations and I thought some of those might come to fruition at least temporarily. Therefore what the market is saying is that "we are not yet convinced that PALM will be significantly increased over its IPO level 6 months from now."

#2 EB's performance on CNBC (not part-owned by msft as indicated earlier on this thread) was typical of his appearances there. He was awful and spread fear where he should have been spreading calm and optimism.

#3 Lots of momentum players here un-aware of the fundamentals so they bailed at the first sign of trouble. Also a lot of long term holders planning to bail today and they did.

What is needed now is that the price needs to stabilize. If PALM just stays where it is then COMS will move up towards it slowly.

It would be nice to know:
what the institutions did today
after hours activity

Its not clear the bleeding is over yet but it should move back up when clear minds prevail.
