dealer- i'm always here. sometimes too busy listening, see there's a lot of wisdom going across this porch that i'm having to save and read more than once to understand. i wasn't exactly ON the porch last night, i was up in the eucalyptus tree spying on lurqing dude and peeping tom. OT (on topic): kidd called me this morning. first time in two weeks. he sounded like a completely different person. he sounded busy, happy, excited about life and his future. he was determined, dedicated, and exuded confidence. he told me he was going to be a chef - not "i think i might like to try to become a chef someday" no sir, he said it like he already WAS a chef and just had a few little things to do to make it official, like... go to culinary arts school and get a job cooking. i haven't heard him talk with confidence like that since he was eleven years old. i'm about as happy as i've ever been in my life and i owe it to "the village"... you and tom and everyone who said a prayer, wrote a letter, sent a book, reached out with a hand and took an interest in a lost and dying soul. i came on here and said, "everything i've tried as a father has failed. help! please," and "the village" did more in two or three weeks than i've done in 27 years. all the money in the world couldn't buy that. god bless ALL you wonderful dudes! when and if your "kidd" is ever lost and confused, you call ME - i'll be there for them in a minute with open arms and a kind word. muchas, muchas gracias mi pueblo. -el primo del beano
