Bruce, I think you're absolutely right: learning to trade options is difficult and is much better to learn through being mentored. I've been mentored by a number of people, both privately and publicly here on the thread. There's much about options that's rather arcane and requires getting a feel for things, like "sweet spots" in the option chains. I learned these things a lot faster because of peoples' patient teaching. At this point, I mentor others. It's a giving back that's a real pleasure. I implore everyone here who trades options regularly and profitably to take someone under your wing and pass this invaluable knowledge along.
