Hmmm... I see your point.

Here's what I do when all is not as it should be. First I post on the thread or at least look at the posts here if to see if it's just me. If others are bogged down too, I cycle through servers, trying one at mv, then herndon, then jersey, before trying additional servers at the same farm. I use the false statement in the ini file, so I usually have to close the program and edit the file. Still I'll try the Ctrl-Alt-N first. Sometimes it gives me another server or two, but often not the one I'm looking for. If that doesn't work I watch closely for posts by Quote.com. That really saved me at the turn of the year because they gave the name of the server that they had updated the emini symbol. Many were so irate they missed the useful information. If I'm alone in my misery, I start up Ping Plotter to see if that gives me a clue. Then it's reboot time. The temp file deletion I've read about over and over here, but never had to try it, or at least never chose to.

With all the trouble you've had, I'm sure you have your own much more well-worn trouble shooting routine. Maybe something I mentioned here will help just the same.

Best Wishes,
Esteban

For the last hour or so, it has been like sap draining from trees trying to get charts to download. I have tried StClara and Mntview servers...surely there is not that much traffic at this hour on Sunday?
