The wireless hysteria is not really hysteria, it is the ramp up of a huge secular trend.

I agree with much of the article, but rather than making me cautious, it only convinces me that there is plenty of room for more and more demand on wireless infrastructure and lots of R&D money and new venture capital will be flowing into these companies.

There are very obvious clues to this such as Nokia, (which I'm already long - I had some NOK called away on covered calls and I bought even more back afterwards!) But there are other indications that this thing is going to be huge. Take a look at the action in VLNC - a complete POS company with a hideous history making a low-margin commodity product and a zero-revenue track record: now commanding a billion+ cap (and may very well go much higher), simply because they put the cellular phone spin on their product. The lift from the wireless angle scared me enough to cover it all at a loss - something I rarely do with crud stocks.

The speculation in wireless plays may make the .com thing pale in comparison.

You have to own stocks in this sector. I've already angled in with NOK and CNXT, and I'll be looking for more.
