What comments do you have about this:

messages.yahoo.com

They also stated on CNBC that WIND did notify Wall Street of additional costs which obviously affected their earnings.
How can you compare WIND with Bre X??

Andre

One interesting fact that they snuck in there is that due to the rise in stock price the diluted shares increased, accounting for .015 in lower EPS.

One funny thing is the analysts kept on saying "great quarter" when they didn't meet the analysts' number. Oh well, close enough. Howeve when your p/e is 100 I'm not sure you can afford such a disapointment. Still long.

These results are completely awful given the expectations investors have (had) in WIND.

First, I did not know what the expectations were, but when I first saw the results, I wondered how the flat eps would be received. I then listened to the call and it was very interesting. (By the way, I took notes on the call and if you PM me with your e-mail, I will send them to you - and then delete your e-mail address.)

One thing that was interesting was that 7 of the 9 analysts started their questions with congratulations. One in particular pointed out the revenue growth.

Another key point was that they are clearly spending with the idea of capturing a key position in what they see as an exploding market. They also said that their products and customers make them a key player in the Internet infrastructure game and they plan to get that word out.

The call ended with me feeling very positive about this company. I am betting that next year's fye call will be very positive.
