On competition between Intel and AMD:

"Everybody always wants it to be either-or, but you can own both. Intel's very focused on corporate America and Windows 200 and AMD's more focused on the consumer market."

It just so happens that I have followed that exact advice for a while now and have made it well known that I don't feel it is an either or scenario and I do own stock in both companies. Have you followed the advice of that well known analyst? The comment was in response to DRBES inquiry regarding laptops. My comment was the higher quality laptops are targeted in the commercial space where it is 100% Intel. I never try to change ones investment opinion. By the way....Niles most recent comments are the best way to play the PC sector is INTC, MU and DELL. I have made it clear that I think AMD is a good investment this year. Yes AMD is pressuring Intel in the RETAIL sector where they have about a 1/3 share. The focus this quarter seems to be in the commercial sector although that is rarely talked about on this thread.

"It's always amusing how people always want to turn it down to one guy or the other. the answer is, you can own a bunch of them and make a lot of money. It's not a zero-sum game in almost any space.
